Crook III, Ph.D. Dr. Crook's background includes fourteen years at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) where he served as Chief of the NIMH Geriatric Psychopharmacology Program. In 1985, Dr. Crook founded Memory Assessment Clinics, Inc. and then served as President of the company for ten years, as it grew from a single clinic to a worldwide organization. Dr. Crook also founded Advanced Psychometrics Corporation in 1987 and served as President of the company until 1993. He is a consultant to more than 50 leading international corporations, has delivered more than 300 invited lectures at major international scientific meetings, is author of more than 200 scientific publications, and is author or editor of nine books related to psychological assessment and treatment.
He has appeared as a scientific expert in worldwide media, including the British Broadcasting Corporation, European, Australian, and Japanese radio and television; and such popular American television shows as 20/20, Prime Time Live, CBS This Morning, The Today Show, and Equal Time on CNBC. He has also appeared as a guest on news shows of all the major American television networks and multiple Public Broadcasting System shows.
